Bookings, Cancellations & Event Changes
Project Factory CIC organises community workshops, parades and other events. Please read this policy alongside the information for your chosen activity. Any specific booking arrangements will be explained before you book.
Workshop bookings
Please include everyone attending in your booking, including accompanying adults, so we can plan space and materials.
Children must be accompanied and supervised as specified in the workshop information. Please check the activity details for costs, age guidance, accessibility information and anything you need to bring.
If you cannot attend
Please email emma@projectfactory.uk as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change your workshop booking. This allows us to offer your places to others.
There is no workshop cancellation charge. If you cancel before your session, we will refund any advance payment for materials or lights. Moving to another session depends on available space.
For other ticketed events, any attendee cancellation or transfer arrangements will be stated before booking.
If we cancel or postpone
We may need to cancel, postpone or change an activity because of severe weather, unsafe conditions, venue unavailability or other circumstances affecting its safe delivery.
If we cancel a workshop or paid event, we will refund payments made to Project Factory for the cancelled activity, including unused workshop materials and lights paid for in advance.
If we postpone an activity, we will explain the new arrangements. If you cannot attend the replacement date, you may request a refund of those payments.
Lantern parade, weather and Cathedral capacity
The Wells Lantern Parade begins inside Wells Cathedral before continuing outdoors. In wet weather, the whole event will take place inside the Cathedral.
The Cathedral will set and enforce attendance limits for safety. Admission is subject to available capacity and cannot be guaranteed. If the safe capacity is reached, you may be unable to enter or take part, including when the whole event is held indoors.
Booking or attending a lantern-making workshop does not reserve a place at the parade or guarantee admission to the Cathedral.
We may change the event arrangements or cancel the event if conditions make it unsafe to proceed. Please check our website before travelling and follow instructions from Cathedral staff and event stewards.
If the parade is cancelled or you cannot gain admission because of capacity restrictions, this does not automatically entitle you to a refund for a separate lantern-making workshop already delivered or materials already supplied. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
